Overview
820 Lofts is a four-story, 34-unit apartment project in Salt Lake City, with RAD serving as both designer and owner. The project explores how a compact residential parcel can support a substantial apartment program.
The Challenge
The goal was to maximize apartment count on a site originally associated with a single-family home, without on-site parking.
Our Approach
RAD studied property boundaries and target unit sizes through early diagrams, using those findings to establish the building's layout and residential program.
