Overview
This Phoenix self-storage project comprises a 114,000-square-foot climate-controlled building at 19th and Broadway.
The Challenge
The site crossed two zoning districts, and the approval process involved seven interdependent permit submissions. The zoning conditions also complicated the building's initial above-grade configuration.
Our Approach
RAD revised the original three-story slab-on-grade concept, placing part of the building below grade to accommodate the target storage area while responding to zoning restrictions.
